It might have been a warm day
I wouldn’t know, I was cold,
Abandoned,
Waiting for someone to come,
Still waiting
To be taken home.
Eyes glance at me all day, some stare.
Hope
For a home.
You create that optimism in my heart,
The excitement in my eyes.
My paws reach toward the metal I am held behind
Out to you
Take me home
A place I can be warm,
